Many new and part time spokesman&#8217;s either do not use it or have no idea the  simplest way to use it.</p>
<p>Humor is an especially dynamic tool for even the occasional  public spokesperson or presenter.</p>
<p>It can Immediately attract the eye of the audience</p>
<p>- Be used to explain  the points in your speech &#8211; break your speech into more controllable chunks and  give the fans a breather</p>
<p>- Raise your  likeability factor with the audience</p>
<p>- Be used to transition from one point at the next</p>
<p>- Be used as a  planned reply when the astonishing occurs naturally, for some folks humor comes  simply. For others, it could be a struggle and they doubt whether or not they  should employ it. The benefits to the public spokesperson from employing humor,  mean that it is easily worth learning the systems of humor, and with a little  application any one can use it efficiently.</p>
<p>Here are eight tips you may use to boost your public  speaking:-</p>
<p>- Build a warehouse of stories and remarks that you may use.  You can find these by being an eager observer of day to day life. Alternative  sources of humour papers, books, mags, conversation, films, Television etc. Make  a written note of these stories and employ a filing system to specify them  under appropriate headings.</p>
<p>- Observe other successful public speakers. Analyse how they  use humor in their speeches. Do they begin with humor? How will they use it in  their speech? What gestures, facial expressions, body language etc do the  employ?</p>
<p>- Commit to memory the tale particularly the punch line.  This is essential to the successfulness of the story. If you should chance to  stumble over the punch line the possibility for humor is lost.</p>
<p>- Rehearse and Practice  in front of a mirror, so you can see your demeanor, gestures movements for  example. Also practice your timing and pauses. The more times you tell a joke  the better you may become at telling it</p>
<p>- Make the stories topical to your speech. When using  humor the point you are making it should illuminate. Stories and jokes that  don&#8217;t relate to your speech will belittle the main body and will confuse your  message and the audience?</p>
<p>- Use humor like it is utilized in each day in great  conversation &#8211; it is easy and natural</p>
<p>- Know your audience.  The humor used should match the spectators. Humor that is acceptable at  convention of sales folk won&#8217;t be acceptable at a spiritual event.</p>
<p>- Don&#8217;t milk the gag for at least one laugh and if it  falls flat, move swiftly on as if you didn&#8217;t expect them to giggle anyhow. By  adding the spice of humor the correct way you will immediately improve the  onlookers&#8217;s perception of you and your speech.
